Thought He Wasn't Real... I leaned back in my chair and stared at my computer screen with the story that I had been reading only moments before plastered on it. I was a little frightened, home alone, sitting in the dark. So, the sharp 'tap, tap' at my window scared the crap out of me. I whirled to face the glass and was greeted by something that almost made me wet myself: long black hair flowed in a wind that I couldn't feel. A kitchen knife glistened in the light of the full moon. A face as pale as the light, marred by a long red cut up his face, and eyes that stared into the depths of my soul.

Rei had been missing for three days now. The way she simply vanished without a trace. Nothing. Nadda. No scent, no soul trails, no anything. Even if she was kidnapped, there would be a trail. I slammed my head down on my desk. She was the closest thing I had to family. Closer than a sister, Rei is like a child to me. I turned my head to the side and switched to my mind-link with her. I tried a thousand times but with no avail. Again, nothing but static… and screaming? A sound! It's not good, but it's a start.  So I tried speaking.
"Rei? Rei, can you hear me? Where are you?" I asked frantically.
"Chi…?"
It was faint
